League History

For more than 50 years, Westminster Girls Softball League has been a proud part of the local community. What started in 1973 as a small group of passionate volunteers and a handful of players has grown into a thriving softball league that supports hundreds of young athletes each season.

From the beginning, the goal was simple: give players a place to play, learn, and grow through softball. Over the years, we have expanded our programs, improved our facilities, and built strong relationships with families, schools, and other local organizations. Our league has become more than just a place to play. It is a space where kids build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

We are honored to be a part of so many young lives and are proud to continue a tradition that has lasted for generations.

Our Mission

Our mission has always been to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where players can learn the game of softball and grow as individuals.

We focus on teaching the fundamentals of softball while promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Whether a child is picking up a glove for the very first time or already has years of experience, we welcome them with open arms and a commitment to help them succeed on and off the field.

At the heart of everything we do is a belief in the power of youth sports to build character, strengthen the community, and create lasting memories.
