League History
For more than 50 years, Westminster Girls Softball League has been a proud part of the local community. What started in 1973 as a small group of passionate volunteers and a handful of players has grown into a thriving program that supports hundreds of young athletes each season.
From the beginning, the goal was simple: give kids a place to play, learn, and grow through softball. Over the years, we have expanded our teams, improved our facilities, and built strong relationships with families, schools, and local organizations. Our league has become more than just a place to play. It is a space where kids build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.
We are honored to be part of so many young lives and proud to continue a tradition that has lasted for generations.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where kids can learn the game of softball and grow as individuals.
We focus on teaching the fundamentals of the sport while promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Whether a child is picking up a glove for the first time or already has years of experience, we welcome them with open arms and a commitment to helping them succeed on and off the field.
At the heart of everything we do is a belief in the power of youth sports to build character, strengthen the community, and create lasting memories.
Westminster Girls Softball is a proud member of the Westminster Area Rec Council (WARC).
